We sharpen the edge your shear was born with

Japanese shears are built on a convex — HAMAGURI — edge. That's what gives you a clean slide cut and a silent close. A grinding wheel flattens that geometry in seconds and it never comes back.

We work by hand, on stones, to restore the original convex bevel. Fifteen years, thousands of shears, zero grinders in the shop.

Turnaround

Priority Mail runs 2–3 days each direction, and we turn shears around within ten business days of receiving them — usually faster.
